In the context of hegemony and occupation, the preservation of cultural heritage is
at the heart of the national struggle due to its association with memory and its role
as a tool of resistance against the obliteration and falsification of the history of the
Palestinian people.
The Nation-State Law doesn’t represent something new but it strengthens the effects of
existing practices by granting them a constitutional status, an example, par excellence,
of the detrimental effects of ideology, especially of a dominant group on the fate of
