Said Hamad is a retired Palestinian career diplomat. He
served as deputy head of mission in Washington, DC at
the time of the peace talks, and later as ambassador to
Mexico, Belize and Canada. He now serves as director of
the international relations office of Hebron University and
is an elected member of the city council of his hometown,
Al-Azariya.
What we need is a strategy to finally achieve what we declared we would accept in
1988, through the same body that created the State of Israel in 1947, and to finally see
implemented all UN resolutions relating to the question of Palestine.
