Nathan Wasserman, born in 1962 in Jerusalem, isProfessor of Archeology at the Hebrew University ofJerusalem. An expert of ancient Babylonian texts, hehas recently published a new Hebrew translation of theGilgamesh epic (Jerusalem: Carmel 2026), co-translatedwith Professor Yoram Cohen. Wasserman has authoredeight volumes of poetry in Hebrew and he is the 2008recipient of the prestigious Yehuda Amichai Prize.
