A prominent Palestinian jurist, Dr. Abdul Rahim Mahmoud Jamous was born in Anabta and earned a PhD in Public Law. He has dedicated his career to both academia and public service. Academically, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, Hassan II University in Casablanca, Morocco. Within the political and administrative sphere of the PLO, he held the role of Director General of the offices of the Popular Committees to Assist the Palestinian People in Saudi Arabia. He currently chairs the Administrative Council of the General Union of Palestinian Jurists
