David Shulman is Renee Lang Professor of Humanistic Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and formerly professor of Indian Studies and Comparative Religion in the Department of Indian, Iranian and Armenian Studies. He is the author of Dark Hope: Working for Peace in Israel and Palestine (Chicago: University of Chicago Press 2007), and an activist in the Ta’ayush grass-roots movement for nonviolence.
