Dr. Riad Abdel Kareem Awwad is a researcher, specialist in public health, and community activist who holds a master’s degree in Public Health. He is a former director of the Health Information Center at the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Due to the Israeli blockade, wars, and the division between Fateh and Hamas, young
people are facing high rates of unemployment, poverty, disability, and psychological
distress and suicide; they must not be denied political participation.
