Ambassador Jake Walles is currently a nonresident seniorfellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.He previously served as ambassador to Tunisia, consulgeneral and chief of mission in Jerusalem and has been anactive participant in U.S. efforts to promote peace in theMiddle East dating back to the Madrid Conference in 1991.
