Tarja Cronberg is a member of the European Parliament, where she chairs the Delegation for Relations with Iran and sits on the Foreign Affairs Committee. She was formerly a member of the Finnish Parliament, where she chaired the Green League party, and served as minister of labor from 2007 to 2009.
