Anat Hoffman

Born in Jerusalem, Anat Hoffman was first elected to the Jerusalem City Council in 1988. In her first five-year term, she and other members of the Ratz-Shinui list served as members of Teddy Kollek’s coalition. Now in her second term as part of Meretz, she is a member of the vocal opposition to Mayor Ehud Olmert’s coalition of Likud and ultra-religious elements. Married with two children, she is a psychologist by training. Her career in politics was preceded by a background of activism in consumerism, human rights, and religious pluralism. She wrote this monologue with her husband, Michael.
